Fiala Mom & Baby Program

A majority of births worldwide by girls aged 14-19 years old occur in low income countries. Some young mothers have little to no knowledge about basic health and nutrition, and can frequently be left to fend for themselves. With the Fiala Mom & Baby Program, mothers are provided medical consultations with family doctors and gynaecologists, children’s clothing, vitamins, and other essential supplies. Basic health practices are taught to mothers to help families understand what is important during pregnancy and the value of good health to ensure a healthy child.
